Is there some way to have the cab default to "4" in the RPi-JMRI configuration on startup? If not a saved default, maybe a startup command or script to do this? I sure would like to not have to have a mouse, monitor, and keyboard attached to the RPi sort of defeats the purpose. I show two cabs: one for the PowerCab throttle on "2" and one for the WiThrottle on "4", and everything works fine on both the PowerCab and WiThrottle. However, each time I bring up the RPi system, the NCE Cab # is blank and I have to manually set it to "4" (for some reason "3" doesn't work) each time. With Steve's relentless assistance, I've finally gotten my NCE PowerCab v1.65 / USB connection (version V.7.x.x with all jumpers on) working OK with WIThrottle on the RPi (it always worked OK on my XP laptop). I'm also working with Steve Todd's RPi-JMRI image. JMRI does provide a tool for setting the cab bus address, but whether that address works is a function of the NCE USB board version, the jumper settings and whether that address is valid for the target NCE system.
